Currently I can read and write only .txt files within the app. But I have also other file extensions like .md (Markdown), .todo (Tasks) that are text files that currently I cannot open and cannot write.
I see two possible solutions:

The first option will be implemented in the next minor release version (1.4.0).
It is now implemented for the extensions .txt, .md and .todo.
@nikolayhg and @vanniktech, do you have any more in mind?
Are those checks case insensitive? Meaning .MD would also be picked up? Right now, I can't think of any other extension.
