Description

Currently I can read and write only .txt files within the app. But I have also other file extensions like .md (Markdown), .todo (Tasks) that are text files that currently I cannot open and cannot write.

I see two possible solutions:

• Enable multiple file extensions in the default editor: .md, .todo, etc
• Add a setting where the user can define which file extensions should be open with the default editor

Thanks for this feature request and you are absolutely right, this should not be closed.

The first option will be implemented in the next minor release version (1.4.0).

It is now implemented for the extensions .txt, .md and .todo.

Are those checks case insensitive? Meaning .MD would also be picked up? Right now, I can't think of any other extension.
