Aerial: Spanned displays inconsistent with system display arrangement

Description of issue / Feature request

When using the Spanned viewing mode, the display arrangement is inconsistent with the display arrangement I have configured in display preferences.

The correct arrangement was working for a short period, but I noticed that my screen saver wasn't aligned when returning to my machine. This occurred without changing any Aerial or system display preferences.

Required information

When using the Spanned viewing mode, the display arrangement is inconsistent with the display arrangement I have configured in display preferences.

Because the displays are actually aligned past the centerline vertically as well as horizontally, I wonder if the spacing parameters are kicking-in both vertically and horizontally instead of just horizontally in this case.

Just to try to narrow it down, can you tell me how you connect your display to your macbook pro, is it always the same port, with an adapter, etc ? Are you frequently plugging/unplugging, etc or is it always plugged in ?

What I get from the APIs is that your second screen is 390px above (those are the bottom left coordinates of your screen in the big composite virtual screen of all your displays, if that makes sense to you) your internal display, which is what your screenshot shows in Aerial's preview. Will need to dig more I'll get back to you !

I always try to use the same port, and the display is plugged in through a USB-C multiport adapter. I come and go from my desk at work fairly frequently, so the displays are plugged/unplugged multiple times per day.

For what it's worth, I deleted the display prefrences (sudo rm /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist, rm /Users/griffin/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.windowserver.*.plist), rebooted, but Aerial still showed the same arrangement after opening/closing the screen saver options once.

I still have no idea why it only failed for you with my old detection stuff. I did change it to make it much simpler and more reliable, and this will also solve your issue. I'll post beta 4 later today with the fix.
