Hi,
A question going forward. If we want to extend yetiforce with additional extensions (like vtiger) what would be the best approach?
Does Yetiforce offer extension development services and if so, are they charged by the hour i.e. as in your service packages, or is their a set development price and then the extension gets added to the yetiforce marketplace for resale to the community/customers?
Does/would yetiforce encourage us to seek out 3rd party developers to build these extensions and then add them to the yetiforce marketplace? My only concern in doing this without running it past you is that if its developed by 3rd parties, and without them working with yourselves, then any updates to yetiforce may cause issues with any integrated 3rd party components.
If 3rd party developers do produce extensions and sell them through yetifiorce marketplace then I would hope yetiforce can generate some profits by charging developers to list/sell their extensions?
I am after 3 extensions:
A paypal payment system integrated with yetiforce invoices as per:
https://vordoom.net/extensions/onlinepayments
The ability to include a photo gallery where we can upload multiple images and if it can play like a gallery then even better - but not essential. See https://www.vtexperts.com/image-gallery-vtiger/
The ability to setup additional SMTPs for users as per:
https://www.vgsglobal.com/extensions/one-smtp-per-user-vtiger-add-on/
A bridge between a CMS (i.e. drupal, Joomla, Magento, Wordpress etc.) and yetiforce CRM like:
http://www.jextn.com/joomla-vtiger-integration-component-extension-download
Are others in the community interested in extending yetiforce with any of the above and/or additional functionality?
I am really interested in hearing what others think.

Paula,
What if your client wish to remove invoice module? Will you cut it out?
Just for your reference - making OS system depended on your clients, and
speaking it out to open source community, discouraging serious developers
to contribute to the source. Why don't you release various modifications
as an extensions and sell them out? Sell to your clients and all others.
Manage core to be stable, and keep in one shape.
Rest stuff separate, so we all know where we going to. I know that was
mentioned here several times, but as this is logical and wise (what I am
saying) I get it
here again.

@blazej
Hi, what is your approach to third party developers who willing to sell commercial modules for yetiforce?
Will you support 'em? Will you allow 'em selling products in your online shop?
The most important value for the YetiForce team is creating one 100% opensource version of the system, that is available for free for everyone.
If a company asks us about the possibility of cooperation, the first thing we check is what they’ve already done for YetiForce, and what are their plans for the nearest future. We believe that the best partner is the one who gives at least as much as they take. If your company only wants to create commercial modules then you don’t need our help.
First of all, we don’t create modules that aren’t well-thought-out from the business perspective, because we don’t think it brings any value into the system, nor for the person who realizes it. Paid modules will only be released when they are NOT necessary for everyone (modules necessary for everyone should be free), and they’ll support the development of YetiForce either directly or indirectly (for example when a partner publishes a module in the store, then part [30%] of the money is going to support YetiForce’s development, and the remaining 70% will be transferred to the partner’s bank account).
There are many modules in Vtiger that are doubled, or should be part of the system. We don’t want that in YetiForce!
The modules that can be published in the store must be unique, logical business-wise, and well made. Most of the modules in the Vtiger Marketplace are of very low quality, and equally low security level; their prices are inadequate to the value they represent. In practice it means that 90% of Vtiger Maketplace modules are not suitable for our store. If YetiForce wanted to focus solely on selling modules then there would be 200 modules in the store, and the engine wouldn’t be much different from Vtiger’s.
The system we create is supposed to be unique not because of the number of commercial modules, but because it’s complete and thought through. Our goal is to create the best system in the world and we hope to find people as passionate as we are among our community members.

Hi!, I want to webform module in version 4.0 for my systems.. How much?
@paula-w
thank you for that update - I realise having to explain everything in such a way takes you away from your core work of developing yetiforce, but just to say it is most appreciated. I am well impressed with everything about yetiforce. It is in my opinion 100% better than vtiger!
The original thread I posted regarding extensions/functionality has actually been addressed in your latest release 👍
FYI. For some reason, I am on this thread (not sure why; I suspect
mistyped/incorrect email address) -- you may consider taking me off before
discussing sensitive stuff :)
Cheers,

@ezbank - please add new issue with module description/specification.

Where can I configure the duplication preventer? According to the list you posted above YetiForce has such a feature yet it doesn't appear to work. For example, I successfully added a contact record with an email address that already exists in another contact record.
