Xowa: Full-Text-Search including Categories, Portals, etc. in the future?

This is complicated.

Before you experiment with Full-Text Search for Categories, Portals, can you try using it for regular articles?

If you've already exhausted regular articles, and want to experiment, try the following:

• Backup C:\xowa\wiki\en.wikipedia.org\data
• Delete the folder
• Go to home/wiki/Special:XowaSearchBuilder
• Enter in the wiki name. For example, "en.wikipedia.org"
• Change Namespaces to "0,4,14". Note that

  • 4=Category
  
  
  • 100=Portal
  
  
• Press Run. You'll see progress messages below
• Wait 4 - 6 hours
• When done, go to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:XowaSearch?search=earth&ns_ids=100

Note that this behavior is not really supported, so only go this route if you have a lot of patience.

Holy! 6 hours? I will try. I mean, it's not the patience or anything, it is the small lack of time that I have at the moment. But I'm going to add this to my list. Once I tried this out, I'll tell you the results as soon as possible, right here.

So, when I press Run nothing happens (de.wikipedia.org), or rather nothing shows up. To make sure you get what I mean:

• You need to delete the existing full-text search directory

One question, does XOWA support https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:RandomInCategory/Random_page_in_category yet? I didn't know of this at all. I just discovered it and it's quite helpful.
That's the kind of stuff I'd like to invest my time in. If you plan adding it, tell me about it and I'll test it out!
