Xowa: Running XOWA in Firefox

I think there's already a introduction on how to run XOWA using any browser (I would like to run it in Firefox), could you explain how to get it working as easy as possible, little by little? Like, is there anything specially I need? Any requirements?

The recommended way is to use the XOWA HTTP server.

There's more documentation at http://xowa.org/home/wiki/App/Xtn/Browser/HTTP_Server

Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks.

Yoah. When I add "java -jar /xowa/xowa_linux.jar --app_mode http_server --http_server_port 8080" to the XOWA.exe file, nothing happens other than cmd quickly coming up and closing after launching the .exe

Don't I need the Firefox-XOWA addon to get it work? Looking at these comparison images I think the Addon is not the same as if you were running it via HTTP. And what does "Note that you will need to run XOWA as root if you choose to pass port 80 for http_server_port" mean?
Sorry, but I have zero experience with HTTP server stuff and such. :(

Sorry for bringing this up again, but could you help me here a little bit?! I cannot get this working, or rather, I cannot find a way to start the HTTP server. As described above, I added the command line to the .exe, and when I click on it, nothing happens :(

I finally got it working! Well, the HTTP Server is quite nice. Would be cool if it gets more development. So far I only discovered two bugs. Do you mind if I create a new issue regarding the HTTP Server?

Yeah, sorry. I thought I replied earlier, but I forgot. :(

Sure, feel free to create the tickets. I'll let you know how feasible it is to fix.

Thanks!
