I've always found the sidebar Stats sparkline too low resolution and abstract to be of any value, and so uniquely unlike anything else in the sidebar to be visually distracting. With My Home now being the logged-in default page, featuring an always-on Stats card... can we consider getting rid of the sparkline altogether?
This was also prompted by making design considerations around the sparkline, which we might not need if it wasn't there at all. cc/ @rickybanister @davemart-in @lcollette
This is a great discussion to have. I'd agree that the addition of the stats card to Customer Home makes it less valuable.
I seemed to remember some customer feedback that it was appreciated when a previous attempt was made to remove it, but my memory is fuzzy.
Hm, the different ranges when seeing both together are a little confusing too:
I've always thought it looked like a rendering bug. However, like Rick, I do recall us removing it once or twice and hearing a backlash from customers. At the very least, perhaps we only show it when a site reaches a threshold of traffic?
