Would love to be able to set the FB Image Fallback per Post Type rather than simply globally. See attached.

I think the balance of complicating UI to edge case makes it not worth it. Able to control it with filter as necessary already.
@omarreiss do we want to consider this?
Do you have some documentation on the filter and its usage available? I'd be interested in going that route. Didn't know it was available.
Documentation? We... might. Somewhere. :)
From quick look it should pass through wpseo_opengraph_image, so at that point you can check for default and swap as necessary.

USE CASE
We would use it for our kb section on our website. Where we would set a default social image that sends different message then "general" default social message.
Wow... reviving an old issue here. I'm still a fan of this feature request. For many sites each post type is a very different kind of content and having a UI for setting these would help them a lot.
Instead of just listing out ALL the CPTs automatically, it could be a repeater field. Basically have the UI like above for Global, then have a single repeater field that says "Set for Post Type", they choose which post type should have a unique image and then upload/choose the image. That way the default for all post types is still the Global, the UI is clean, and you still have the flexibility to set per post type.
@hedgefield please take this one into account in our settings redesign.
