At step 1, the button next from the setup works and go the step 2.
Nothing. The console find this error :
PUT https://www.xxxx.com/wp-json/yoast/v1/configurator 403 (Forbidden)
I don't know.
Can you provide a link to a page which shows this issue?
The installation wizard requires the server to accept PUT requests. The easiest way would be to enable this on your server.
If you want to setup YoastSEO without using the wizard you can go to SEO -> Dashboard -> Features -> Enable Advanced settings pages.
We should implement a test endpoint and check for this. At least the onboarding wizard should fail gracefully and give a descriptive error. We might also want to set a notification once we notice this server configuration flaw.
Thanks for sending me this thread. However, "Feature" does not appear as an option under "SEO", but "Advanced" does. Under "Advanced" my choices are "Breadcrumbs," "Permalinks," and "RSS." Not seeing how this can help me configure Yoast SEO on my blog.
Same thing here, "Enable Advanced settings pages" doesn't appear...
If that can help : I resolved the 403 error by desactived my firewall on the server. :)
The wizard works now.
Well I'm trying to configure it, but when I click on the link a page apears with another link: go back to seo dashboard page... how could I solve this?
well I'm not able to config it wit the wizard... but now I can vonfigure it any way.... so it seems working now!
Switching from PUT to POST should resolve these issues.
Should also fix https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/5892.
I have the same problem!
