Windowscommunitytoolkit: UWP Community Toolkit Sample App makes my second display rotate 90 degrees

Seems rather bizarre and I'm guessing it must be related to one of the UWP Community Toolkit features, but when I run the UWP Community Toolkit Sample App, it causes my second display to rotate 90 degrees. Specifically, I have a Surface Pro 3 with a Dell ultra wide 34" monitor (primary display). When I run the UWP Community Toolkit Sample App and it has focus, my Surface Pro 3 display rotates 90 degrees. If I switch focus to a different window, the display rotates back to normal. If I give the UWP Community Toolkit Sample App focus again, then the display once again rotates 90 degrees. Any idea what might cause this? I've never seen this happen with any other app, and a reboot does not resolve the issue.

I don't even think we need to. The adaptvie triggers should be enough

@deltakosh We need to remove that orientation setting. This is the second issue raised for it.

It is mostly useful for mobile, we can only use it when detecting windows mobile

@deltakosh we should make the toolkit sample orientation agnostic

Someone interested to tackle this one?

I can look at it later this week. If someone gets to it earlier no worries.

Thanks!

I am removing Portrait requirement which is set in App.xaml.cs

Glad this is getting addressed, but would still love an explanation of how it is even possible for a UWP app to cause my second display (not even the one the app is displayed on) to rotate. Are you saying that if you require Portrait in App.xaml.cs, then it will somehow affect a display that the app is not even on? Is this not a Windows bug?

Looks like a bug to me. On my build I cannot reproduce the issue

@ryantrem its possible that its a bug affecting certain devices.. I have SB and SP4 that I attach to Dell ultra wide and they do not exhibit this behavior
