Created on 14 Jan 2019  路  5Comments  路  Source: wavebox/waveboxapp

  • Wavebox Version: 4.5.10
  • Operating System & Version: Mac OS 10.13.6

Expected & actual behavior
When clinking on the menu bar icon I expect to see the "Mini menu" of Wavebox.
But the mini menu only show up sometimes and not every time.

Steps to reproduce
Just click on the menubar icon of Wavebox and nothing happen.

Is the bug persistent or intermittent?
Only see it sometimes.

Thanks for reporting. Have you clicked the Open as Window button in the bottom toolbar of the mini menu to bring it out as a standalone window or is it still docked to the top of the window?

Once it fails to recognize the click, does it then always fail until you restart the app, or just for a short while?

Thanks for your answer.

Just try the Open as Window setting. Now it works but it is not very convenient with the Spaces feature of Mac OS.
For exemple, my main Wavebox window is on the space 1. If I'm working on the space 2 on click on the menu bar icon, then the mini menu automatically switch my current space to the space 1 then show up.

If I set Dock to tray ; the mini menu only shows himself if my current space is the space that contains the main wave box window.

Thanks!

Sorry, I was just wondering if you'd done this in the past as I'm struggling to reproduce the same behaviour here.

How regularly would you say that clicking on the icon doesn't work? After a click fails, does clicking on it again shortly after work, or just fail too?

If you open your macOS System Preferences and then click Mission Control would you be able to send me a screenshot of the settings you've got configured there?

Oh! Just found what's cause the bug.

My main wavebox window is "Assign to desktop 1" if I right click on the Wavebox dock icon.
With this setting I have the bug.

But if I set the setting to "Assign to None" everything works like a charm ;-)

Thank you for your help!

(Maybe you can try and reproduce the bug now ;-)

Edit: Video with the bug with the "Assign to desktop 1" setting bug_mini_window.mov.zip

Thanks, that's perfect. Managed to reproduce with that setting!
