Alright so I was recieving BTC from coinbase, and told it to go to my BTC address generated from Wasabi ( bc1qp99aqancgveukwsq2c74k8lp695n0u2gcf98aa )* which it sent, but didn't show up in my wallet. I even did a full bitcoin node, still a balance of 0.
Here's the transaction in the blockchain: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/17f7e67e745edfc8c0433797ac3a41918ba2a7b592817612f571e0c7503cdf36
Any ideas why this would be happening? I'm assuming it has to do with the wallet itself but not entirely sure.

This transaction doesn't pay the address you mentioned above.

Oh sorry, accidentally pasted a different one. bc1qp99aqancgveukwsq2c74k8lp695n0u2gcf98aa
But yea, no balance in wallet:

please consider your privacy when posting addresses and tx ids on public forums github.
it might not show in the gui, because your wasabi was offline when the tx was broadcast. then it will show up when it is confirmed, which is the case now.
please check if it is in the GUI now.
Still nothing sadly, it was online during the confirmations and never updated in history or in my balance.
please go into the wallet file, and edit "Height": "0",, this will trigger a rescan of the wallet.
Went ahead and did that, restarted the wallet, and still no change. Still not sure what could be causing this.
go to the receive tab, and check if the address is still there.
tripple check that you send it to the right address
Checked on the wallet, the address is correct based on CTRL+F on the blockchain explorer and copy paste on sublime text.
is the backend connected, all filters downloaded and synchronized, and all blocks downloaded too?
check the bottom blue status bar if there is anything still in progress.

Yea, seems backend and Tor is connected, and blocks are downloaded.
Ok... then I'm starting to run out of reasons why it doesn't show up...
Please turn off Wasabi, go to the wasabi data folder, delete the whole folder of Bitcoin Store and BlocksMain. Then again go into your wallet file and edit "Height": "0".
then open Wasabi again and load your wallet.
this will take a while to load now, because it downloads filters and blocks again.
Alright, I'll update again when I've tried this.
Alright, after getting done doing everything, still no change in balance or history.
ok, then I'm at the end of my knowledge on what could have gone wrong...
it is confirmed, filters are scanned, blocks are downloaded, it is above the dust threshold...
if the address really belongs to this wallet, then it should be there.
so the only thing that comes to mind, is that you are checking the wrong wallet...
sorry, can't help you any further.
Yea I'm also at a loss, checked to make sure the wallet has the receiving address which it does, yet not getting any updates for balance.
I can't think of any good reason for it to be doing this, I even thought maybe some sort of glitch in the blockchain but I highly doubt it.
If the receiving address is still in the GUI, then it means that it has not yet received any coins. as soon as coins are received, it is removed from the GUI.
please tripple check if this address shown in the wasabi GUI is also the one in the transaction from coinbase.
Yea, looks correct on my end, the transaction was done from coinbase sending 0.01468392 BTC at 5/11/2020 7:39 PM (EST) with a fee of 0.00003575 BTC to that address.
Really odd thing going on here.
Anyway, will pick this back up tomorrow, currently 7:15 AM with no sleep. Hopefully we can find some sort of solution to this issue tomorrow.
@ANK1036Official welcome here.
We are here to help, if the money is in the wallet you will have it for sure.
Most importantly do not post any private information here - consider your privacy! If you need to share some information then do it privately to my email address: [email protected].
So first thing, you posted a picture about your receive address, where you wanna get the payment.
There is no balance on that address so the wallet it seems to me that Wasabi is showing the correct balance.
https://www.smartbit.com.au/address/bc1q4348slp7d4qunf8393gay5jl9nvchgkw7zlufa
The other address you mentioned (bc1qp99aqancgveukwsq2c74k8lp695n0u2gcf98aa) was there among the receive addresses too, but it was gone after a while?
Check the logs. There should be some relevant information regarding the transaction.
Please let me know your results.
I used Sublime text to only keep any lines containing "WalletService" (since I assume this is what shows transactions in logs) and found that in 2019 transactions were made and coins were recieved, however the only logs that show up for this year:
2020-04-28 23:39:32 INFO: Starting WalletService...
2020-04-28 23:39:46 INFO Global: WalletService is stopped.
2020-05-11 19:28:23 INFO: Starting WalletService...
2020-05-11 19:30:04 INFO Global: WalletService is stopped.Doesn't seem like it's acknowledging the new transaction.

This is your address right? this is the address you sent to?
It looks like the coins you sent to that address have been spent in this transaction https://blockstream.info/tx/c67c3734748db6a2021454cf043fd130bfbf2b65d5c727e9d001d63adfdb33da
Alright so now even more odd, I've never received any coins, and now the blockchain thinks I spent it?
History tab still shows nothing, balance never has been updated. When did this transaction happen?
Do you guys want me to show a video of what I'm seeing on my end? Not too worried about the privacy at this point, just wanna know what's going on.
Uploaded the video over Discord: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/708146823658733649/710281147690516490/2020-05-13_20-02-19.mp4
As you can see, no history, address is correct and still in the GUI.
Don't you see that the address you copied in the receive tab is bc1q4348slp7d4qunf8393gay5jl9nvchgkw7zlufa but the address you pasted in the notepad document is bc1qp99aqancgveukwsq2c74k8lp695n0u2gcf98aawhich is a different address.
Well yea but it copied directly from the wallets copy feature. Then is the issue the actual copy paste not giving the right address?
(Mind you now I understand it's going to the wrong address)
it not copying the right address to the clipboard is indeed an issue...
have you verified the pgp signature of your package?
I did originally when first downloading, but I'll do that again right now just in case.
Seems all good on my end.

ok good, then at least it is no malware that has a broken clipboard.
but still, I have no clue what's going on...
Yea really odd, I even tried making another generated address, then copied that, and it gave that same address.
Your video was helpful but unfortunately, it seems to me that your BTC was never in your wallet. Somebody else is controlling that money and this is the proof of that:
https://www.smartbit.com.au/tx/c67c3734748db6a2021454cf043fd130bfbf2b65d5c727e9d001d63adfdb33da
Probably you got a clipboard malware on your computer? I suggest you be super aware of what you are doing on that computer from this point.
Yea really odd, I even tried making another generated address, then copied that, and it gave that same address.
Do you mean it gave the correct address (the new one you generated) or it gave this one bc1qp99aqancgveukwsq2c74k8lp695n0u2gcf98aa?
If the latter then something is wrong and most probably it is a malware.
You can easily figure out if you got a clipboard malware.
Observe if the same address was pasted or not.
Let me know your results.
Yea looks like you're right @molnard , I just noticed a FLASHPLAYER.EXE
I'm gonna close this topic as it's likely a huge misunderstanding of sorts.
Now wondering what type of exploit was used to get into my system, seeing as I download nothing.
Anyway, thanks guys I really appreciate it.
Note for Bitcoin archeologists: This is the first confirmed hack of a Wasabi user.
@lontivero We had ideas back then how to tackle clipboard malwares, but we decided to not bother as these malwares didn't seem to support bech32 addresses. Now they do, so I think at least a tester would make sense: https://github.com/zkSNACKs/WalletWasabi/issues/3658
