I have tested onion site (with Tor Browser Bundle) of duckduckgo and onionsearch engine, both will work.
however, the test net version .onion link (testwnp3fugjln6vh5vpj7mvq3lkqqwjj3c2aafyu7laxz42kgwh2rad.onion/) WILL show frontpage of official site.
I tried it, it works. Can you confirm it was temporary? Onions don't have the uptime performance of clearnet.
@nopara73 yes It is a temporary down on my side, now wasabi wallet shows tor is running and backend connected. Thank you!
You're welcome! Happy it resolved by itself.
From mainland too and same problem with me, tor is not running, backend is not connected, peers: 0
How did you solve it or just waiting ? And I wanna know did you install bitcoin-core and tor separately before installing wasabi wallet ?
Tor silently gave up. @molnard restarted Tor on the server. Now it should work.
Also if anyone has info about how to detect such scenario please scream, because I'm idealess. Tor just doesn't respond to SOME clients, not to all.
@crazywkb use Tor Browser Bundle that connects to your local SOCKS5 proxy, then configure Wasabi to listen to localhost:9150. Or you can simply enable "System-wide Proxy" and Wasabi (and the built-in tor) will respect it.
