Where does one see how many coins he or she owns? I do not find this addressed anywhere.

Go to Send or CoinJoin tab, there you can see your coins.

If you mean the total value, or amount of satoshis you have, then check at the top right corner.

If you mean the total quantity of coins or utxos you have, then you must manually count the entries in the coinlist of the Send or CoinJoin tab.

@KitchM I meant this feature could be added in one way and I made sure to note that I don't agree with adding it in a naive way.

I would think that it is obvious that there is a need to add a simple tab that shows the balance available. That balance needs to be shown as the altcoin of choice, but would be nice to have a quick conversion to Pounds, Euros or Dollars, etc. as desired.

Another way to handle it would be to have a ribbon display across the top of the page instead of an additional tab. Either would make sense.
