Once the Wasabi Doc is filled out with all the existing documentation the links inside of the wallet should be switched to this repo.
Note that links all over the Internet will be broken by this move. So I propose moving the non-dev releated documents, and make the originals point to them. After 1 year we can remove these.
It might be worth considering to redirect the links to important files of the old doc to the new doc.
I didn't mean remove the files in the repo, just move like the FAQ link in the help menu of the wallet to point to the WasabiDoc Faq
I mean to remove the files in the repo. Duplicating documents is one of the worst things we can do. Especially that I am updating many of these documents every release with the version number.
We have a pretty solid directory structure in the new documentation already.
I could now remove the content of the doc files in the main repo, and provide only a link to the GitHub repo of the new doc file. This would not lead to any broken links, and it would start to get everyone comfortable with the new documentation.
However, we still have some more work to do before the website is deployed, and then we can link to the wasabiwallet.io/docs compiled GUI site, which I think is very beneficial for any reader of the doc. And for those who want to checkout this file in GitHub, it's only one click from the VuePress site.
So I suggest we wait #twoweeks until the new documentation is deployed on the website, and then I make a PR to link from the main repo there. What do you think, GitHub or WasabiWallet links?
@MaxHillebrand Just start with a single file PR now, maybe the less controversial is the FAQ.
Oh no - I was looking for this issue - but couldn't find it and thus opened #2067...
