Vscode-material-icon-theme: [Opinion] Folder icon color should be more subtle

Personally i find the bright blue of the folder icon to be distracting. Its hard to scan through a list of open files when all the blue icons get lost in an ocean of blue folder icons. I'd propose to make them a not too bright shade of grey.

The problem is, that all icons are very colorful right now. So it will be difficult to update the color of the folders to a light gray. There are some icons which have the same blue color, and a color change would resolve in an inconsistency of other icons. Besides many people gave me feedback that they like the icons as they are right now.

But I like your idea and I could imagine a very nice look for the icons in a modern gray (or not so colorful) material look.

I will make some evaluations in the near future about this topic and I'll try to improve the icons. Thanks for your feedback.

Just wanted to chime in that I agree with above. Working on large JavaScript apps, especially Angular2, is difficult because of the folder and TypeScript icons. Thanks!

thanks that looks great. in my opinion a darker gray would work slightly better as it draws even less attention, but the main issue, that folder icons and files have the same color is fixed either way.
