Vscode-intelephense: Clean up workspaceStorage from old projects

O.S : Linux
Vscode Extension : bmewburn.vscode-intelephense-client-0.8.8
Vscode version : 1.26.1

My main Question is:

Is it normal for my ~/.config/Code/User/workspaceStorage/ directory to be filled with several bmewburn.vscode-intelephense-client directories that total to over 1 GB ?

NOTE: I still love this extension and can't trade it for any other.

I just found out mine was also close to 30gb.. all because of this extension.. I kept wondering why my storage space seems to disappear all the time!! now I know the culprit! After googling it a bit I found that others are constantly deleting the entire contents of ~/Library/Application Support/Code/User/workspaceStorage without issue.. it might be a bit slower next time you load up your project but the files will simply be recreated.. so I just deleted all my contents too.. had huge folders in there for projects I hadn't opened in over a year or had even deleted! Really wish some kind of garbage collection was performed on this folder

1.0 saves less data in a binary format. Will investigate ways to clean up old project data.

It seems that, for some reason, the extension is not reusing the cache, and creates a new cache for the same project every time the IDE opens it.
