Vorestation: Away mission mauler is impossible to get into

7935 replaced the phazon with a mauler but as far as I can tell there is actually no way to open the mauler. I've tried merc ids, all-access ids, EMP, and an emag but nothing works. Unless this is actually supposed to be unopenable or maybe it is a puzzle too complex for my small mind.
