A belly mode that allows for some of more longetive parts of prey's body remain (particularly, vore-famous skulls), to allow things like burping it out or depending on vore type, something else. The object itself wouldn't be any dirtier than your average item-that-was-in-belly though, and can be easily gotten rid of. And being optional, you would only have to if you specifically had one made out of your prey's body.
As long as its completely mutually-agreed and player-controlled, I don't see much more problem with it than any other so far mechanically possible thing. It doesn't allow for any sort of forcing fetish and if people attempt, well, it will be as easy as any other sort of prefbreak and just as obvious.
If appropriate bellymode is on, then after the body itself is churned away a new indigestable item is added to belly, a skull with description to tell the species of victim and hint at how they met their fate. What is done with it is entirely up to pred, assuming prey is not OOCly against it. Probably an ability to just immediately destroy it by clicking it with your hand, to allow quick and easy way of getting rid of unwanted/accidental ones or cleaning up on mechanical level after the scene played out.
Honestly I'd be perfectly okay with this as it's not as gross as finding a heap of scat, although I'd be okay with that as well--I just know it would bother other people.
This is one that should be discussed with the community beforehand.
Honestly I don't think this is this extreme yet? As long as like, the parts aren't identifyable. So when you find a skull, it could be anyone's. We can already tear out organs and rip off arms, and people seem to be smart enough not to litter those everywhere.
Tru dat
I'm with Ace on this since I like all sorts of disposal but I remember a million years ago when I made a forum thread asking if we should add any kind, the response was significantly negative, so I think it's worth leaving this up for a while to see what sort of attention it garners.
I personally like this, although that may be with some bias in that I would likely use the feature. The question is, both someone coding it, as well as if the thing will have any indicator of who the remains belong to. Especially with the ability to get rid of one-and thus leave no mess if you decide to do things in a dorm and then leave the dorm.
Conceptually, I thought the indicator of what species it belonged to would be okay, but it can be easily removed (and actually makes implementation even simpler)
Eh... I'd personally not want this. And the organ remains thing has ended up causing a few issues in the past - namely one incident where someone threw a satchel full of dismembered parts, and the victim's ID, into medical. Like... I don't want to know that you just butchered someone, just tell me who needs to be resleeved and it's not a problem.
So, yeah, personally against it, and I know that at some point I'm likely to have to report someone from openly teasing about keeping someones skeleton as a trophy or whatever, but I'd be fine with it being added.
Well that falls under "play stupid games, win stupid prizes." If somebody wants to flaunt what they did, they should expect consequences, and admins aren't going to help cries of "MUH PREFS" and "KINKSHAMING" when they themselves bragged openly about their acts and Security found out.
If this does get added, two notes.
If this is a thing, I'd personally prefer if it's a pref on both sides. Some folk are going to use it as a means of collecting trophies.
The idea of someone collecting my character's skull and then bragging about it is repulsive to me. I don't mind other people doing it, but I'd prefer if there was an option on both sides for basically anything mechanical like this.
So both players must have post-vore disposal options enabled.
Yeah, like with drop noms. pred and prey for it to even spawn. can even extend it so that anyone with the setting off can't even see remains. at this point you can even make other kinds of disposals safe, with people who don't wanna see it, unable to see it.
I won't be making things invisible for certain players for reasons of:
I tend to agree, making certain things invisible to certain people is invariably going to lead to confusion, and probably often.
I think that a skull or bones is innocent enough that most people would not be that bothered by the presence of such things.
Like, if we were ever to propose adding giant piles of shit, then I might understand settings to opt out of seeing such things.
But I mean like, skulls happen in RPGs. And if there's a setting that has to be set on both sides to result in skulls, then ideally it'll only happen as often as two people who are into that cross paths, which will likely be significantly less than 100% of the time. Most of those will either end up in the garbage pit, or on toilets, I imagine.
And I mean, if there's skulls littering the hallways everywhere, then that's probably something security could take issue with.
Not into it personally, but there seem to be solutions worked out for potential problems already, so I wouldn鈥檛 mind if it was added.
