Opera 15+ is based on Chromium. Has anyone investigated amount of effort required to support it with vimium?

I have experimented with opera://extensions and developer mode and extension seems to have loaded properly.

@smblott-github @philc I am interested in porting this extension to opera. Can you tell me what exactly needs to be done for this?

Closing until there's more demand. This isn't something I was planning on working on.

It actually works if you extract the extension and install it manually using developer tools. I'd have to check if recent version works.

Hopping in to show demand.

More demand!

Demand.

The Download Chrome Extension adds support for the Chrome web store to Opera. I believe that Vimium can then be installed as normal and should work correctly.

Can anybody confirm this?

I can confirm it works. It issues a warning though, complaining that the extension is begin installed from an unknown source.

It works fine otherwise.

Yea DCE RockS:
First install DCE
Then Vimium

I haven't a clue, @akashnimare. I think we're looking for somebody to figure it out. Then we can decide whether Opera is something we can support.

@smblott-github Just figured out we don't need to do anything different. Should I publish it on opera?

Should I publish it on opera?

It's @philc's baby. His call.

Thanks for scoping this guys. Let me investigate what it takes to publish
this to Opera's store.

Any news on that @philc ? Looking forward to shift away from chrome but without vimium it is a big no.

Closing. See this comment.

Using DCE as a few suggested works fine for me!
