As is common knowledge, to replace the floor on a shuttle you need to put a wall down and deconstruct it to get a normal plating to put your fancy tiles on.
For every tile.
Why not just make them normal tiles? At least for the trader shuttle, anyways.
The idea is that infinite power == bad, so you shouldn't be able to use machines other than the shuttle console inside shuttles.
In practice, this is very easy to exploit because walls are the worst code.
I think someone needs to come up with a way for shuttles to have limited power, like perhaps giving them APCs, and some way to recharge. Docking with the station could recharge the shuttle's APC or SMES or whatever. something something Portable SMESs maybe?
Localized infinite power is already easily accomplished with the nonsense that is cell chargers, is it really that big of a deal if shuttles have infinite power for machines as well?
It's not, as demonstrated by your example and mine.
Can we just go back to allowing infinite power on shuttles, and wrenching machines and stuff on shuttles?
At least until we have integrated shuttle cells or something?
I wonder if running a wire to an APC in a shuttle would Just Work or if the powernet wouldn't update when the shuttle moved
