Vgstation13: Un-code out the money tree

Money tree was 'temporarily' (what was it, 1 year since the introducion of economy) coded out due to economy. Wage is finally here, and since nobody still cares about money why not put it back in?

The way to get money tree was to mutate lemon trees into, the logic was lemonade or whatever, I think nobody cares just like soybeans turn into koibeans and eggplants turn into eggyplants. All I know is it existed and you couldn't get absurd amounts of money, especially in comparison to what miners make when they haul in their gorillions of minerals.

IIRC it gives randomized bills, and the bills are all unstacked. Worst case scenario you get a few 500s since it's the highest credit chip but it depends on yield. There might also be a percentage to which bills are given, but I haven't checked that code.

I also really want to splice it for whenever I make a megaplant that grows everything.

You could make them more rare, or some kind of ridiculous reward from an away mission or vault

I would admit it's an amazing reward for one mutation, we could add a middle one like how it goes from tomatoes>blue tomatoes>bluespace tomatoes, but that requires more work than just putting it back in. I'm not saying money really matters or not, but if money is such an issue we can remove the 500 credit part and make it only grow up to 100 credit bills max.

The potency trait should determine what it grows like 10 pot makes 10 credits

It currently produces unstacked bills, since bill stacking was added after the money tree since it's that old. I think potency shouldn't have anything to do with it, since money cannot be potent and even if you argue the tree could be potent, randomized money amounts is just better anyways. Potency can easily be abused also, especially if you have good knowledge on botany.

It would be weird then since every other plant has potency... Unless bluespace are the same?

Not all potency is used, for example Eggy I think, since it makes eggs and the eggs are not a plant, and have no potency themselves.

it could add more of the egg reagent to the eggs so you have an egg that has more egg in it than normal eggs :^) But how about potency determines maximum credits obtainable and then its random, so if you have a pot of 50 you can get anywhere between 1-50 credits

I guess I'd be ok with that, I just want the money tree back. As long as it isn't so worthless as to where it only grows 1-10s where it would be too big of a chore to pick up small bills.

Have potency determine how loudly a cash register sound plays when harvesting.

Or have high potency produce cash registers themselves
