Been thinking about ways to improve tunnelers and making them more useful to the player/ai.
One way i thought about ould be to make it so that when a tunneler successfully damaged a wall the area around the "impact" would act like an enemy unit is there preventing the ai/player from building there and repairing the damage for a certain period of time lets say 10 seconds with a radius of 2 tiles around the impact. this way the damage would not be immediately repaired when the player or ai uses the tunnelers against the ai cause the breaches to remain open for longer. It would give tunnelers a new niche that didn't exist before and therefore make them more useful except for being a meme unit
another idea that has been proposed would be to have tunnels drain moats but I personally would say that's a little much after all moats have historically been made particularly to counter tunneling.
