Description: The quest "Jungle Secrets" (entry: 215) can be obtained and accepted without meeting the requirement.

Current behaviour: The quest can simply be taken from the giver creature "Private Thorsen" (entry: 738 GUID: 2243).

Expected behaviour: Quoting a comment on wowhead:

Every so often, Thorsen will go on patrol. If you follow him, he will be ambushed by two of Kurzen's lackeys (at around (40, 8) ) - if he survives, you will be able to start this quest off him then.

Well unfortunately we have no sniff data on this quest other than the all_quests sniff files which are useless, we have sniffs of actual npc but nothing useful there either.

This npc is currently unscripted not even waypoints

Right, the missing script is the problem. He is supposed to be scripted where he randomly goes out on patrol and gets ambushed by Kurzen Agents. If you help him, he offers you the quest which starts a 6 part series.

You must save Private Thorsen from being ambushed by Kurzen's Agents when he's going for a patrol in order to get this quest.

Two of them ambush Private Thorsen as he goes out on patrol. If you fend them off, Thorsen will give the quest Jungle Secrets.

I couldn't find any Youtube videos of this guy (didn't search hard) but someone might be able to "fake" a waypoint path / script from this:

If for some reason you don't find him in the rebel camp it may be simply because someone else is on a quest that causes him to temporarily travel on the road south to 40, 8

@ZenoX92 Is this tested? I had a quest to turn in to Private Thorsen and could not turn it in, even when he was positioned in Rebel Camp. He doesn't have the Quest Giver npcflag anymore. I'm thinking it doesn't get added again after his AI.

Tested and works correctly, the only detail I get is the gossip is active during the waypoint, if the player talk to the npc it will stop for 3 or 4 min before resuming the waypoint.

Maybe due to grid unload used to happen with one of the cenarion npcs in hellfire when a quest was turned in if player left before event finished and grid unloaded npc was left with no npc flags
