Pretty much self-explanatory, I guess.
In the second "View" menu, there are options to toggle the display of various types of things, including group bounds. There is, however, no option to toggle display of brush group names, and even when group bounds are hidden, group names are still displayed. This can quickly start to clutter up the main display while mapping.
It would be great if there were an option to hide group names.
Alternatively, it might make sense to hide group names when group bounds are hidden.
Currently running TrenchBroom Version 2020.1 Build v2020.1 Release Qt 5.9.5 on Xubuntu 18.04.
Would it make sense to link the group label visibility to "show group bounds", or to "show entity classnames", or do we need a separate checkbox (kind of hoping not, as this list is getting a bit cluttered?)
I don't think combining it with the entity classnames is good, cause I could def see situations where you'd want to see one and not the other.
Having its own check would be best but kinda clunky, of your 2 choices just combining it with the group bounds toggle seems best.
Ok - let's combine the name visibility with "group bounds" for now. We can always add a separate toggle for the name later if it's really useful
