Actually, you can leave it open. People are STILL missing the fact that the new developer is malicious, even when they open the GitHub. Another issue higher up on the list will (hopefully) boost visibility.
If anything, please retitle it to something closer to the title of #1263, to get as many people to open it as possible.
Found out about the malware from this thread, so yes, people _are_ only just finding out about this!
