Would be great to have an option to "turn-off" the background completely and have empty white screen instead (the same as in Mac OS client by default).
can't you just take a white picture and use that?
_edit_
Ok, I can just set a white wallpaper as a background. But the white "speach bubbles" look crud then.
Light gray works rather well, though.
We are adopting the Telegram at work environment, and all those backgrounds look a bit "unprofessional" to convince people to stitch to it :) Would be great to have a way to easily switch them off, without manually making white images etc. Just one extra background in the list: "no background".
Maybe add a predefined set of colors and implement the possibility to enter your own color (in hex format)
+1 for this feature. It will be great to have an option to remove background completely.
Ie clWindow on MS Windows. Not difficult to implement.
Do themes solve this?
Ideally there'd be a set of pre-defined colors (for ease of use) AND the option to choose a custom color (for those that want more flexibility). The Material design color palette (specifically the 100 colors) would make good default choices.
Maybe better #2838 ?

I'd still like to see this implemented.
