In Windows 10, is there a way to prevent Telegram from minimizing to the tray? Currently, if the tray icon is enabled and you click on the close button, it'll minimize to the tray instead of closing the program. I actually want the tray icon, so just disabling it doesn't help me.
That doesn't seem related to this issue.
Hey there!
We're automatically closing this issue since there was no activity in this issue since 476 days ago. We therefore assume that the user has lost interest or resolved the problem on their own. Closed issues that remain inactive for a long period may get automatically locked.
Don't worry though; if this is in error, let us know with a comment and we'll be happy to reopen the issue.
Thanks!

@tdesktop-closer The issue persists. There has been no resolution.
@lehitoskin This is intended. The tray icon suggests that you want the app to run without taskbar icon. To fully quit right click the tray icon and choose Quit Telegram.
There are a number of programs that have a tray icon, yet still fully quit when you click the X. Twitch and Epic Games, to name a couple.
Why you can't add a setting for this? I also want to quite Telegram completely by pressing common "Close" button
ugh, this is so incredibly annoying and such bad design.
So many unnecessary steps to close the program!!!!
at least offer an option to quit in telegram through the menu
jesus
