I know this might not follow the stated guidelines but I felt it was too important and I felt it would reach the right folks.
Thank You.
I know there are so many people who work on Svelte. I felt this was a great way to go on record at the source and not just thank one person but thank the entire community of folks who want to see Svelte kick all sorts of ass. I know the passion that's put into this, the time late at night coding away, and answering all the questions in between.
Thank You.
I love how accessible everyone is. I love the folks who generally want to help one another. I love the fact @Rich-Harris isn't afraid to just be honest, transparent, and just say where things are headed and yet still make time to also answer my dumb ass questions.
So to the entire core team and everyone who put their time in. Thank You.
This might sound cheeky but Svelte did bring my love for UI development back. I've worked in plenty of frameworks but they've all felt like I was working for them, vs them helping me.
I think it's important to know that I enjoy working in Svelte, and I know many others do as well. Unlike some I do get to make the choice as to what frameworks we work in, and we chose Svelte and I don't regret it one bit at all.
In the middle of a pandemic I was able to make a dream come true. We started laying down code to make a new kind of learning system for the development community that we simply call THAT at http://that.us/. Starting a new product/service in the middle of a global pandemic is, well, something for the history books but, Svelte and the community around it has made it possible. I attribute a lot of our ability to go from scratch to what we have now in just a few short months to Svelte and the design decisions that have been put into making a framework. 馃檶
It's because of all this, I just wanted to say Thank Ya'll. We often don't say it enough. I look forward to SvelteKit and working in Svelte everyday.
Thank You!
Thank you not just for Svelte, but for the ideas鈥搕hey make the whole landscape richer.
