Hi @DeFlanko , thanks for contacting Microsoft! My apologies, but unfortunately there is no wait_type description within the product.
If this behavior is causing you a business issue and/or you feel that it should behave differently, please feel free to file a feedback item at https://aka.ms/sqlfeedback and our engineering team will be happy to triage the issue.
I hope that helps and please let us know if we can be of further assistance?
Thanks!

Description is found in the documentation where it belongs. The product is geared towards minimizing footprint and therefore wait types have somewhat descriptive names, completed by docs, instead of very long strings resembling explanations.
@Masha thanks i only ask because our EMR vendor has description tables in
its SQL DB so i was wondering if Microsoft followed suit. @Pedro the ask
was for reporting against this data for folks who were not technical and
dont know how to use microsoft documentation but still want to understand
why their business reports are being delayed.
solution: ill have to create a custom table, got it.
