Description

spotdl should put a number, like 01 or 001, in front of the first track of a playlist, and each successive track, so the original order of the playlist is preserved, or at least have that option, like spotdl -ln could include leading zero numbers in front of the file names

+1 for this feature.

See https://github.com/ritiek/spotify-downloader/wiki/Advanced-usage#set-custom-filenames, track_number.

@mrevjd please use GitHub's reaction feature (i.e. add a :+1:) if you just want to express agreement with a comment.

@linusg - It doesn't preserve the number ordering from the playlist but uses the track number from the meta data. I would like to preserve/use the playlist order as the track number.

Cheers

Ah, right. Still can't do this, see https://github.com/ritiek/spotify-downloader/issues/417#issuecomment-448672193 for an explanation.
