Spoke Stewards meta issue

Created on 18 Aug 2019  ·  8Comments  ·  Source: MoveOnOrg/Spoke

This meta issue forms the agreement for folks who meet the criteria to become a member of the Spoke Stewards Group to affirm before getting access to the group.

As a Spoke steward, I agree to the following:

  • I will not use labels: “testing on stage”, “testing in production” related to mergability
  • I have read and affirm the code of conduct
  • If I break code of conduct or use the aforementioned labels, I understand that I might lose Steward status

What are "Stewards"?
Also if we are testing on our own staging site - we can add a label for that, right?

Hey @joemcl I created a wiki page now linked to in this meta issue to answer your question and will be making a broader community announcement about it today! Thanks for commenting cause it made me make sure the meta issue text was clearer for people stumbling onto the issue.

Basically a Spoke Steward is a new permission role meant to allow people to edit labels on the repo (yay! Project management and repo ownership!). The labels referenced here are meant to be taking very literally. By signing, you would be agreeing to explicitly not use the labels "testing on stage" and "testing in production" as those are reserved for MoveOn's internal process.

cool thanks @ibrand !
