Name: Icinga 2
Description:
Icinga is an open source computer system and network
monitoring application. It was originally created as a fork
of the Nagios system monitoring application in 2009.
Icinga is attempting to get past perceived short-comings in
Nagios' development process, as well as adding new features
such as a modern Web 2.0 style user interface, additional
database connectors (for MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL),
and a REST API that lets administrators integrate numerous
extensions without complicated modification of the Icinga core.

I found another request from 6 Mar 2014: https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/issues/859 where it says that Nagios/Icinga will be available soon as a package. Well, I can't find it in the Synology packages on my DS216se... And Synology doesn't have it in their documentation about all the packages available under https://www.synology.com/en-global/dsm/app_packages/all_app.
So I'm sending the request here to add this package as it would be very useful for network monitoring :)
So basically both packages Icinga2 and Icinga2 Web would be useful.

Any progress here? Would be great to have Icinga2 package!

I guess not...
We have most dependencies available... but we already lack time to maintain existing packages, so...

I understand that. (Even if I don't know how much effort it is to build and test these packages).
What another user found (See https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/issues/859#issuecomment-354764882) is that there is some package called 'Nagrestconf' which states to be 'A REST interface and configuration GUI for Nagios.'
I will try this in the future when I have time and report if it's useful ;)
@jayloo I've already found that, too. However, currently I'm running out of time with all my private projects and didn't have the time to test this yet :(
