Specflow: Change the namespace of a step's file produced two bindings

Created on 9 Apr 2013  路  6Comments  路  Source: SpecFlowOSS/SpecFlow

If I change the namespace of a file containing Steps (with the [Binding] attribute) when I try to navigate from the feature file to the step I get a warning with this message: "multiple matching bindings found"

I have to close the solution and reopen it to solve the issue.

Thank you!

I closed this ticket because nobody cares enough to program it. It sat for years, and nobody lifted a finger.

Could I humbly suggest this is looked at with some urgency as it is a a real issue.

Instead of suggesting that someone else look at it, why not open a PR?

I have also experienced this, as mentioned above closing and reopen the solution fixes the issue.

Why was this issue closed? I've just wasted over an hour trying to locate multiple matching bindings that do not exist! The 'workaround' (close VS and reopen) resolved it but it is by no means a fix, it is a bug.

Looking at the date (2 years ago), it has been known about for some time. Could I humbly suggest this is looked at with some urgency as it is a a real issue.

Is it going to stay closed?

@debasisj You mean this issue?
Yes, it will stay closed, because of the reasons @darrencauthon gave.
But it doesn't mean, we would not accept a PR for it in the future.
