Hello everybody,
I updated Signal desktop app today and unfortunately the minimal height of the window was increased so it doesn't fit to my screen anymore.
I'm using ultrawide screen 3840x1080px and application GridMove where I have configured spots for applications on the screen, also I have two rows in my taskbar. When I want to show Signal desktop just on the half of height of my screen (1080px minus height of taskbar/2), the "send message" form is not visible on the screen.
So it looks like the minimum height of the Signal desktop increased (this problem was not present before update) which makes me angry :(
Is it possible to turn the minimal height back on the previous value?
Thanks a lot.
Upgraded the Snap package today. I use the window manager to place windows to the four corners of my screens and now Signal Desktop doesn't vertically resize anymore to fit like everything else. Slightly irksome.
And even after the upgrade to the new minimal height, the problem still persists if the text is longer than four lines (i.e. Version 1.25.3).
I would really like to have the old behavior back and you should please find an other solution for the emoji-picker.

Please can we just actually remove the window size limitations? If text gets mangled when small, that's more acceptable than an app taking up a quarter of my screen on a low res setup or being much much bigger than I need when the smallest text size is still to big on my high res setup.. Size limitations work against me on either monitor.
I also utilize Window snapping and Signal no longer fits into a 1/4 corner snap of a standard 1080p screen. Possible to just scale emoji picker down based on window size? I don't think it's a good solution to force people into a minimum size that is so large. Everybody has different workflows and it's nice to place Signal into a small section of a screen when laying out windows.
