The last update from the Chrome Web Store requests microphone permission, even though the app does not use the microphone.
Steps to reproduce
update from the Chrome Web Store to version 0.20.0

Voice notes are pending a corresponding release on ios and android.

what's the issue with android?
i enabled voice messages on my signal-android and they appear to work fine.

IIRC voice notes used to crash signal-iOS. Now that iOS has a full time dev, I presume that crash will soon be fixed..

@michaelkirk stated that receiving and playing them works fine. so i guess they are waiting for a send implementation.

since voice notes are enabled on android now, can we have them on desktop too?

Voice note functionality is now in the iOS app, so it can be enabled here too.
