Messages intentionally set to silent on the phone will pop up on the desktop ignoring this setting. Silent mode should be synced with the desktop.
I think in general this is a valid proposal, but I want to mention that there is a reason why I'm glad to have this setting not in sync. When heavily using the desktop client, the phone would constantly make noise, annoying the persons around me. So it's handy to mute the respective conversation on the phone for this period of time w/o the need to mute the whole phone.
@exploide I think the notifications should be suppressed anyway on the phone while actively using the desktop client (say, in the last minute you had it in focus). What you're doing is a workaround for an annoying existing issue.
Silenced contacts should be silenced on the desktop too (and hopefully would have a way to silence them on the desktop, but that's less of a problem).
Here it is my solution. Mute option is independent from mobile settings.
Just save the list of muted numbers in the local storage.
Sorry, but this issue should not have been closed. It is specifically about syncing of the muted state and this is not implemented (yet).
