React-calendar-timeline: Custom marker with width, area (start and end date range)?

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The CustomMarker allows for adding a line across all rows, such as the a line showing today or now, or any specific point in time. I can't find a way to make this line into a rectangle covering a date range.

Describe the solution you'd like
Just like CustomMarker, but with a start and end date so it creates a rectangle. This could be styled to be almost transparent. For example, a rectangle could denote WWII, and then you'd see which events fall within that date range.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Tried using CustomMarker and styling so it would have width, but I'd like the width to be determined by the date range

@x1mrdonut1x you can use the beta for now. I am not sure when it will hit production

+1, this could be a really nice feat, mark it with start and end date

this will be possible with row renderer that is currently WIP.

@Ilaiwi any news on when can we expect #673 to be merged?
