@krusli I see you are working a lot on ps2avrgb (bootmapper client) boards.
Any idea what to do for split boards, like VE.A?
I've got some programming experience, but don't know where to start here...
I would probably see the ps2avrgb repo to see how it handles the split keyboard differently to the non-splits.
Here's the main file for split keyboards: https://github.com/showjean/ps2avrU/blob/master/firmware/ps2avrGB/ps2avrGB_split_main.c
Unfortunately I don't have a split ps2avrgb board so I likely can't be testing any work I might do on it.
Ah, I didn't realize that was already public. I've got one from TaoBao, so I'll start poking around...
Maybe I'll add the missing features I'm looking for to there as well (primarily, space cadet shift, and Ctrl+Key (for some reason, macros don't work).
I just got my TaoBao VE.A clone in the mail today. Any updates on the support for this keyboard?
Ha, I didn't even start poking around.... I found a few ways to get the features I was looking for (Space Cadet shift, primarily).
Interested in this as well--following this. Would like to move my ps2avrgb split board over to qmk
In case it's useful to anyone else searching, I came across a fork that claims QMK support for the Wheatfield Split 75 / VE.A clone: https://github.com/walkerstop/qmk_firmware/tree/split75/keyboards/wheatfield/split75 . I've not yet tried it myself.
(Thanks @walkerstop!)

Awesome work, was wondering if this could get ported to VIA too?
