Prusaslicer: Feature request to save MMU purge volume grid settings on closing Slic3r

Created on 27 Nov 2018  Â·  4Comments  Â·  Source: prusa3d/PrusaSlicer

Version

Slic3r 1.41.2 - Prusa Edition

Operating system type + version

Windows 10

Behavior

Feature Request - I have a case where I have pretty consistent colors loaded in my MMU positions 1-5 and would like the option to keep the purge volume settings for both Simple and advanced saved on closing Slic3r so I don't have to start from scratch inputting the numbers in the grid..

@bubnikv Thanks for letting me know about the save. I have been saving these and also have documented my purging tests and the results in a spreadsheet. I can understand that the settings will change all the time when you change the colors out all the time. There are also cases like mine where the 5 colors stay in the 1-5 position and It is kind of a hassle to have to load a base 3mf file or reset all the settings in the advanced tab when the colors did not change and I use these same colors for weeks on end. It would really be nice to have a feature maybe in the preferences to save these in the ini file.

Thanks.

as of now you can just save the plater intoba 3mf file, the purge values
are stored as well.

We decided to not store the purge values into slic3r.ini so you start with
defaults.

Imho, the purge value for a filament (before-after) may be stored in the filament settings (clear pla filament / dark pla filament settings)

@TimothyGold Are you fine with the proposed solutions?
