Hi,
great software!
Can you supply a sample profrc file with all available options or at least some kind of documentation about it?
Thanks.
Hi there.
There used to be a page on the website regarding the profrc format and properties, but I removed it as it had to be kept in synch with new releases/commands etc, and all settings can be configured using the commands.
The command reference might be handy http://www.profanity.im/reference.html
The /prefs and /account commands will show you all your settings along with the commands needed to adjust them rather than modifying the underlying file manually.
Hope thats useful?
Cheers,
James.
Hi James,
thanks for your reply; I'm on a handset (Jolla), where typing is kind of
tedious, thus I'd like to configure as much as possible in a file.
I found a minimal config file here, which at least gave me a basic idea:
https://github.com/HarveyHunt/dotfiles/blob/master/.config/profanity/profrc
It would still help if something like this was included in profanity
itself, even though it wouldn't be complete, just to get an idea of the
syntax. If there's nothing at all, people essentially have to read code
to grasp what the parser expects, which in turn might lead to nobody
using the config file option really.
But of course this is up to you.
All the best,
Markus
