Prestashop: [BOOM-5963] Shopping cart is created automatically after login

When a customer sign in, an empty cart of 0€ is created

The customer follow-up email being sent also for abandoned cart with 0 amount, so when customer login and ceck own order (status, amount, messages).

Describe the bug

When a customer sign in, an empty cart of 0€ is created.

Expected Behavior

The cart should be created only when the customer adds a product.

Steps to reproduce

1. BO > SELL > Orders > Shopping Carts > check the list
2. FO > login as client
3. BO > refresh the Shopping Carts list > a new cart with the client name is created

I've the follow-up module and related cron, every morning at 9.00 send email.

As you can see in the attached image, for example the id 145498 was the customer have seen own order to ceck the status.

Obviously when a customer enters only to check his order, his cart is empty; prestashop interprets it as an abandoned cart and then the follow-up module sends the email.
This is rather boring for many customers who check the status of their order every day and receive a discount voucher the next day.

Thanks for your feedback.
I manage to reproduce the issue.
To reproduce it, you need to sign in again each time => then a new shopping cart will be created automatically without adding any product to cart.
We will see how to fix it.

as you can see, I've open a new private session on chrome. So I think the issue is related to cookie (maybe)

I have a very similar problem with my Prestashop. Every time someone signs in, a cart is created, even if no product was added. Please note that sometimes several empty (or not) baskets are created for a single user. Is there anyone who's come up with a solution?

I managed to reproduce the issue with PS1.7.7.0-rc.1+build.4 and develop.

Steps to reproduce:

1. BO > SELL > Orders > Shopping Carts > check the list
2. FO > login as client
3. BO > refresh the Shopping Carts list > a new cart with the client name is created
