Preact: Can we create a Gitter channel for the Preact community

It would nice to have a community developit/preact channel on Gitter. Additionally a clickable join badge could be added to README.md for easy discovery.

An example badge might look like:

Preact already has a slack everyone can join at http://preact.slack.com/ so at least in my opinion there 's not really a point on creating a gitter. Despite then having two places to check for messages 🤔

@Kanaye it seems it requires a developit.ca email address. how does one go about getting an invite?

Hmmm I'm in the Preact slack and I don't have a developit.ca email address. Are you seeing an error using other email addresses?

Creating an account does require a @developit.ca email address.

You have to manually request for an invite if you don't.

There's actually already a badge in the readme for it that links there. Might be worth adding one to the website though?
