Powertoys: Why is Windows key + V missing?

Created on 30 Aug 2020  路  3Comments  路  Source: microsoft/PowerToys

When I hold down the Windows key, it's nice that it lists almost all the keys that you can use with it.

Why is V missing (clipboard history?)

I think I've got it down now, but it would be nice when I've lost my mind.

Or is it because it's not in all versions of Windows 10 yet?

A lot of shortcuts are missing. That's simply because there's too many shortcut in Windows.
And windows+v is an optional feature.

I'd love it, if the tool would list all of them:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12445/windows-keyboard-shortcuts
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13810/windows-keyboard-shortcuts-accessibility

But I'm not sure, if that's the point of the tool or how all that info could be conveyed visually.
Personally I have that tool disabled, because I also need a reference for what "is not a windows shortcut",
and it doesn't work as that.

There are plenty more missing. The UI will be updated soon. Hopefully it will include more combinations, but it's next to impossible to display them all at once. This discussion has been around for a long time already. See also #179 and #890.
