A machine can often cycle through many monitor setups:
Desktop w/ many monitors
Laptop mode
TS mode
A user should be able to setup VD and Zone layout for these configurations and FancyZones should detect when these states are entered and map open windows to them
Agreed, I work off of a laptop. And I would like to setup fancy zones for when it's just the laptop, as well as when it's the laptop + monitor 1 (landscape 4k - main display), and monitor 2 (portrait 1080). It's only at 1080 because I couldn't get it to do 60hz at 4k but the point is I have 3 monitors each with different resolutions and orientations and I would like to setup fancy zones for each one individually. Especially the portrait one as that's the main one where I'll have multiple HUDs (e.g. slack, music, and task manager/performance/resource monitor) up at once.
+1 for this. (Imho windows or the intel driver/app already seems to have some multi-monitor scenario detection ...)
@StJohn3D @ubremer1234 Hey everyone, I'm currently working on a feature to implement Hotkeys to quickly switch between FancyZones custom layouts, and would love to get your feedback! If you're interested, please fill out this 3-min form.
Feedback from anyone else who would need such a feature is welcome as well.
Going to move everything to #1411 for hotkey for FZ
