Polis: Polis report not generating on free account

Expected behavior:
A report is generated

Actual behavior:
Page only displays the word 'Loading...' eg https://pol.is/report/r3dheeaevddrm4uwphkjp

To Reproduce:
Create any new conversation, generate report link, report does not display. I have waited plenty of time to allow for the report to compile.

Additional context:
I ran a pilot event with 8 people the week before (Sat 3 Apr) and it was working fine. A week later with 50+ people it failed to load the report. Everything else worked well in the live event (statement entry and voting). Participants still waiting for the report so I am super keen to resolve ASAP as this was their first exposure to Polis. It all seemed to go down well, just no report.

Hey @paulthistle! Thanks for filing this bug, as it's important these small frictions get surfaced 🙂 I think it's simply related to the "math worker" (a background process) going down, as happens sometimes, unfortauntely. Also might be because there's no vote data yet (you need data for the report to generate).

I believe the problem is not limited to the math worker as I have heard that it is affecting all free account holders currently (certainly all my conversations). The link I gave you was to a report with no data yes, only because I didn't want to post the actual report as it relates to an internal organisational discussion. The conversation in question does have data in it and the report still wont display. Hope this helps to clarify. Thanks for any further advice

Ah, ok math worker being down would affect everyone. Math worker is what does all the "dimensional reduction" work to derive data from the "votes", and so reports and the participate viz (at least live results) all depend on it. So it seems #957 is the ticket that would support you a bit (by offering insight and clarity about what's happening).

The quick and easy fix right now, as i understand, is just to restart the math worker. That's something @compdemocracy/core can support you on once they log into GitHub for the day :)
