Ohai! This is an issue to announce the May open community call for polis development! Anyone is welcome to attend, though note that this isn't an orientation call (those are held separately), so we may not be able to answer all your newcomer questions on this one ๐
This issue can be used for lots of things, like:

We had a productive call with @ballPointPenguin @crkrenn @joshsmith2 and I! Notes are half cleaned-up -- will finish and process them into any necessary tickets this week.
We're now planning to informally meet each week.
Since @metasoarous isn't able to attend our prior timeslot (gitter chat context, we'll be rescheduling.
If anyone's interested to attend future meetings, please share your general weekly availability here (ignore the specific dates, just focus on day of week; hover timeslot for details)
https://www.when2meet.com/?9086143-sc4QA
We'll use that to help schedule future calls that are available to as many people as possible ๐

FYI, still planning to meet in the same timeslot tomorrow, until we have a solid new slot with a week of notice.
Realized this ticket can be for all May calls.
For Fri, May 8 call, we had @crkrenn, @ballPointPenguin, and I ๐ (@joshsmith2 busy this week and couldn't make it)

@ballPointPenguin feel like setting any pairing time-blocks, or wanna let it simmer a bit?
@ballPointPenguin feel like setting any pairing time-blocks, or wanna let it simmer a bit?
I haven't decided the best way to go about this. Scheduling is hard, it turns out. I am considering establishing "open source office hours" of sorts, for this and other projects. Those time blocks would be the best times to pair. Currently I'm thinking Tuesdays/Thursdays 5pm-10pm Pacific Time (00:00-05:00 UTC Wed/Fri).
Cool! Were you thinking drop-in, or by-request?
What if, outside your general time, we together committed to a smaller timerange as a more committed standing time for pol.is specifically? I'd be down to timeshare or be backup if that helps. I ask as I've been thinking on a prominent "How to Participate" / "Get Involved" section of our readme: https://github.com/pol-is/polisServer/issues/252
call is wrapped up! just me an @metasoarous today! rough notes here: https://bit.ly/polis-calls (will clean up and re-ticket later)
Done another call! This week, included @metasoarous (for the first bit) @crkrenn @ballPointPenguin and @patcon. Notes here: https://bit.ly/polis-calls#2020-05-23
(def call me out if I misinterpreted anything :) )
polisdemo.tech domain, and willing to collective and use for automated stagingyeow! @metasoarous @ballPointPenguin and I just got off a call where we ran through a bunch of technical and non-technical discussions. Aaaaaaand we had a SPACE PARTY ๐ฐ๏ธ
Notes here: https://bit.ly/polis-calls#2020-05-23 (will clean and summarize soon)
