Parity-ethereum: warp restore stopped at some Syncing snapshot number even after the restart the problem still exists so can not finished the syncing process

Can you tell if your CPU is running high or a lot of RAM is used when the process is stuck?
Can you confirm that this does not happen on 1.10.7?

@Tbaut Thanks for your kindly replay! sure my cpu is almost 100% on running. And my total memory is 4GB I used 2048mb for parity and the memory usage is more than 80%. I have tried several times on 1.10.7 seems this issue doesn't exist. But on 1.10.7 I meet another issue. The warp restore stopped at “7.02% warp restore22/25 peers” but in the node logs the sync is continuous running the syncing block number was increased. Even I closed the parity then restart parity again this issue still exists. You can see the attached picture for detailed information.

Looks like your node is just losing warp peers. Can you try the following?

  1. Reset the database: /Applications/Parity\ Ethereum.app/Contents/MacOS/parity db kill
  2. Locate and remove /Users/apple/Library/Application Support/io.parity.ethereum/chains/ethereum/network/nodes.json
  3. Restart with warp barrier: /Applications/Parity\ Ethereum.app/Contents/MacOS/parity --warp-barrier 5800000

Please, don't use --warp it's on by default. Please don't use --geth unless you _really_ need it.

@eqzip The problem may be that the snapshot you started to sync is outdated and there are no peers with the given snapshot. Try removing the snapshot dir manually (in your case /Users/apple/Library/Application Support/io.parity.ethereum/chains/ethereum/db/906a34e69aec8c0d/snapshot, note that db kill has no effect on that dir) and start the warp sync again.
Ideally, we should detect if that it is the case though.

 run parity -lsync=trace

looking for:  "IO Worker #3 TRACE sync  Checking snapshot sync: X (peer: Y)" 

Search for the largest number Y  in (peer: Y) 
then copy X

 stop parity and remove -lsync=trace

open ".../.local/share/io.parity.ethereum/config.toml "
and update config.toml with warp_barrier = X

 run  : parity
