Outlookgooglecalendarsync: Birthdays duplicates with OGCS in Outlook 2003 calendar

Hello my user name is alaingheysens (email : [email protected])

I am using Outlook Google Calendar Sync v. 2.8.0.0
The program works fine except it will allways duplicate birthdays in my Outlook Calender.
Each time I sync another instance of same birthdays is added to Outlook calendar
I am syncing from my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to Outlook.
It seems to me that previous versions did not show that problem.
I upgraded to Outlook Google Calendar Sync v. 2.8.4.0 but program would not start and shows "Application unexpectedly terminates!" warning
Since the beginning I always used Windows 7 64 bits and Outlook 2003
Included you will find "OGcalsync.log"

Even if this is a bug, any fix would be applied to the latest alpha, so we need to work out why v2.8.4 is not running for you first. Please can you reinstall that version, run it to reproduce the crash and then upload your new OGcalsync.log file.

Also, these birthdays in Google - have you added them manually as all day events, or have they been automatically added by Google from your contacts? If it's from your contacts, it should have a little birthday cake symbol in the calendar Event.

@alaingheysens Please can you try the hotfix posted on #1059 and make sure you can get the latest alpha running with Outlook 2003 first?

For what it's worth, this certainly doesn't seem like a new feature, but a long standing bug with Outlook 2003 - it seems to exclude any recurring appointments that start before the date range being synced.

If you can confirm the #1059 hotfix, I'll then post a fix for this bug for further testing.

Thank you for your messages. I apologize for my late replies being on
holidays.
The situation got a little bit worse, nothing seems to work anymore.
Included, the logs and printscreen of the crashreport after replacing the
executable file.
Hoping you will find a solution sometimes.
Meanwhile I reverted to old 2.8.0.0 that functions except for the duplicate
entrances.

My apologies for such a late reply, but this time I have really good news.
The software, after upgrade to v2.8.5 and fix v2.8.52.zip applied, behaves again perfectly.

Now we know that was the issue I have tidied up the code a bit - would appreciate if you could confirm the below hotfix still behaves as expected...
