Osticket: General Data Protection Regulation (European Union)

Created on 26 May 2018  Â·  12Comments  Â·  Source: osTicket/osTicket

Hello,
is or will there be any simple possibility to export customer data on behalf of the new GDPR of the European Union?
With this regulation you have to sent all stored customer data to the customer if asked for it.

We have actually been looking into this internally ourselves and hope to implement things in osTicket to make it GDPR compliant. Stay tuned.

Cheers.

as the GDPR is already valid since 25.5.2018 I want to ask when we can expect a solution?

@Af0x

In v1.11.0rc-1.

Cheers.

I can´t find any commit related to this. Am I blind or is it still "to do"?

@Af0x

Because it’s not public. Please wait until release.

Cheers.

Although 1.11.0-rc1 has been released I still can´t find anything addressing this topic (or I am overseeing something).

@Af0x

We will most likely make a blog post in the near future explaining all the GDPR addressments. In the meantime, none of the commits state specifically “GDPR fix” so you’ll have to go through the change log and see for yourself if any are GDPR related

Cheers.

Any news here? Without GDPR extensions we cannot use osticket in Europe.

any news?

GDPR is active since 25.5.2018. Almost half a year and no progress. Great (same as the i18n Redactor-issue)

So now that version 1.12 is released, I still can´t find anything addressing this. Did I oversee it?

Has this been implemented? Is the latest stable v1.14.2 GDPR compliant ? Not sure if I missed something
