Orgzly-android: Agenda widget does not update automatically

I'm using Orgzly with the agenda widget on my homescreen. Unfortunately, it doesn't update automatically when my notes.org file updates (updates either by dropbox or syncthing). Even clicking on the upper right manual sync "button" does not update the displayed agenda. I have to manually open the agenda and sync to update. I think it might be a display issue that even though the file has updated and synced the agenda on the widget doesn't update. Otherwise Orgzly works great.

Does a note title (for example) change at least if you update it? Or nothing gets updated at all?

Widgets should be notified after every change or sync.

No nothing on the widget gets updated, even if I click on the upper right update arrow so it says that it recently has updated. If I just click and open the agenda its clearly updated, and when I go back to the widget its updated again.

Maybe its my phone system or something Samsung S10e with latest update of One UI 1.0 Android 10.

Is there perhaps some power-saving going on?

Or perhaps Orgzly needs to be added to the list of auto-start apps if you have such a thing?

Same situation for me. None of the widgets will update until I open the app (either from the app drawer or to add a new note etc). Still see this behaviour when I have battery optimisation turned off for Orgzly. Further, to get the update to happen, the app needs to be in focus & viewing the notebooks (i.e. if I'm in the settings menu I need to back out into the notebooks view). I'm on a Moto Z Play.

Same provlem. Widget dosent update when org-files are changed in cloud. Please, add option to auto-sync on widget update.

I have tried on my two Samsung 10 and Lineage OS phone (with all battery/sleep/optimization turned off) using with dropbox, local folder, and webdav and same issue: orgzly and the widget doesn't seem to sync until I manually open orgzly. As one can set a widget refresh rate (5min -- hours) I wonder if it is possible to add/force syncing at the same time, maybe this would fix the issue?
